I would like to guide you through the basics and get you playing your favourite song! We’ll take the lessons at your pace and go in any direction you find exciting. All ages welcome, it’s never too late to start your drumming journey!

Let’s take your playing to another level. You steer the ship in these lessons. We can look at developing your chops, groove, writing, mindset or even advanced concepts like polyrhythms, metric modulation and understanding how to feel odd time signatures.
1-2-1 tuition is available both in person and online. For in person tuition, my studio is in Ouseburn, Newcastle. If you’d rather sit at your own instrument, online tuition is also available, whichever works best for you!

Hi, my name is Mark. I have been a professional drummer for over 10 years. I majored in drum kit performance at Newcastle University with a focus on advanced rhythmic concepts. Since leaving University, playing drums have successfully been my main source of income. I’ve performed at countless major events around the world including Glastonbury Pyramid stage, World Cup Final Qatar, BBC Proms, Maldives New Year and in Cuba alongside Gloria Gaynor singing “I Will Survive" in Spanish.
Behind all that, I’m a nerdy musician that is passionate about sharing my knowledge of rhythm and approach to music.
